Mourning PPK

After awakening I find sad news: Ernesto Sabato is no longer with us.
Several years ago my friend Abelardo (known in some circles as "Bee") recommended to me read "The Tunnel" and given the estimated that I have proceeded to get the book and read it soon. I could not help immediately identify the good and misunderstood Juan Pablo Castel, and that right had been the intention of Abe to recommend the book. I read very slowly, as always, but the book I finished in 2 nights ... although I passed bill to my classes the next day in college. The tunnel is one of my favorite books and it is with great sorrow that I read about the death of the great Ernesto. Rest in peace, maestro.

Cost For Porsche Car Cake

not want to talk about democracy ...!?

Today I
been more nervous than usual about the possibility of choosing, in 2 return, between Ollanta and Keiko. No official surveys which review only there are different images, videos and documents circulating on the web who claim to be official or just looking to fool the electorate can be manipulated (or using a euphemism: "undecided"). In particular, I decided Toledo because, unlike PPK-do win in 2nd round both Humala as Keiko ... despite the gaffes he's had. Today, after watching the news, I have one more reason.

News (links to Perú21) of April 7, 2011: Toledo
join calls for democracy
PPK: "The Toledo called a trick "

respect, my friend" Jav "said a link on facebook:
I think it was a trick, if all you offer is a meeting. Like it or not, Toledo is a defender of democracy, and I think legitimately in his intention to maintain it.
And my friend "Alibaba" left another comment:
already decided my vote. I will vote for the best for Peru, even if it means they will not vote for my candidate. Just

"Alibaba" posted on his blog a personal reflection I now want to share:

Elections 2011
Lima, Thursday, April 7, 2011. 4pm
Until a few hours, if you ask me who was going to vote, my answer would have been PPK. The hope and know the best candidate (my eyes) told me it was not a wasted vote. If he can be elected president. That his mathematical intelligence and economic experience was exactly what this country needs.
pulled Reality slapped me and brought me to the ground.
PPK is not capable of handling the problems that a country like Peru has and always will.
Mr. Alejandro Toledo is now understood that when we sit all ( we care about democracy in the country) and talk on how to defend it. It's Mr. Toledo, who calls the meeting, and when I expected to respond enthusiastically and affirmatively PPK, but rather uses his response to something that has been using a lot lately, but I (and many of us) we were unable to see.
Al show.
Suddenly, to join PPK not a good idea, he thinks he can own.
But what is elusive Mr. Kyczynski is that nobody can own. Policy specialists. [Sic] suddenly
PPK Toledo who hates to be called this meeting because it did not occur to him. PPK
not understand Toledo has already saved democracy before. Perhaps the Peruvian people do not understand it or not I have already forgotten. (I know I had done so.)
Given this paralyzing fear that comes in the form of Ollanta and Keiko from a second round, while the good candidates regret not having joined, the only thing possible is to face it.
When something frightens you, do not run away, turn not away. Watch him in the eye and let him know that things are not going to be so. That this country is much more than their fear.
Now it's time to face this fear together. It's time to tell Mr Humala and Miss Fujimori that this country, not sold. Not cheap. This country is not a few, liars and unprepared. Of those who hide behind a parent or a nice suit, while deep down they know EXACTLY what they will do.
This country belongs to everyone. And I had already decided my vote for who wants to join them. For those who want to save them.
I'll vote for Alejandro Toledo.

Peru, April 5, 1992: Henry Pease

The dictatorship of Alberto Fujimori in Peru began April 5, 1992. That day he dissolved the Congress, led and initiated various prey authorities handling the media. It's amazing that 20% of the population today, 19 years later, support the candidacy of the dictator's daughter to be president, and has been the most voted congressman in the history of our republic. Fortunately, the April 5 is not forgotten and is recorded in many others that freedom is something to remember and preserve.

"Never again on April 5 in Peru. Yesterday defended democracy that we preserve it now "- Alejandro Toledo

" Remember the 5th of April, we must remember democracy. That's the important thing "- Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (" PPK ")

"We opposed from the outset, Fujimori's autocratic government, because we knew, as men right, that whatever democratic means breaking brings abuses, violations and eventually the country submits to the government of a clique or a small group, as happened here, a group run by the INS "- Raúl Ferrero, Dean of the College Bar 1992, in an interview on Canal N

democracy goodbye to Congress Luisana

As I mentioned to my friend MK few hours ago :
(talk minimally altered)

Me: First I have to pause to see if you really want to be president of a nation that endorses Humala, Castaneda ... and elects Congresswoman Keiko as most voted ...
Martin: and Kenji, no eggs will
Me: ... Susy Diaz!
Martin: to Angelito of 11
Me: that cache. But worse is to choose Susy Diaz!
Martin: Carlos Raffo. Honestly, I prefer to Susy Diaz
Me: Fuck ... Carlos Raffo or Susy Diaz, q dilemma! but obvious and far Susy Diaz!

(Susy, if you read this, it's nothing personal ... please do not resent me.)
prefer a person as Susy before a demagogue mafioso, egotistical and corrupt as Raffo. Fortunately there are more candidates, and so my vote goes to Congressman Dr. Henry Pease.

HENRY PEASE GARCIA: Sociologist and Journalist. Ph.D. in Sociology from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and Senior Lecturer at the same university. It was Congressman of the Republic and President of the Congress (2003-2004). Alumnus of Colegio de la Inmaculada de Lima. Academic Degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences with a major in Political Science PUCP 1971, Professional Title Sociologist PUCP 1975, Master's Degree in Sociology PUCP 1998, Academic Degree of Doctor of Sociology PUCP 2002.

... and I'm not mentioning their publications and academic work. Dr. Henry Pease is a God for where he was evaluated, and a person who ennobles the country. I've seen that has been well received in the polls, but if you think Henry is a worthy candidate and may have an impact in Congress, I invite you to vote for him. Henry to Congress!
